Description
PIANO. Mason & Hamlin 7 ft Grand. BB1. This superb musical instrument needs to find a home with an accomplished pianist. An artist who is both capable and willing to experience the thrill of bringing out it's vibrant deep rich tones. Also capable of sending the audience home with the excitement still lingering in thier souls. Yehudi Menuhin, One of the Worlds most famous Violinists, who himself owned three Mason & Hamlins. Said in 1935. “Among all pianos none compares with the Mason & Hamlin in Beauty and Grace of tone, or in Mellowness and Softness and yet in Bigness, or in anything that a sensitive and ,as it were , human piano should have” A one owner instrument, of exceptional quality. It was loaned to the New Port Jazz Festival in 1975, and played in concert by both Max Morath & Count Basie. Both signed pictures and letters which will accompany the sale. The original owner played at such a high level of excellence, that she would make the instrument sound like a full orchestra. Condition: Tonal quality? Superb. Sounding board, keyboard, and action? Excellent. Cabinet? very good. Tuned, and maintained regularly by a certified member of the, Piano Technicians Guild.
