Description
While you're here, be sure to add me to your favorites list and also view my other eBay items . ............* * * FREE SHIPPING SPECIAL * * *........For a limited time only, I'll ship this guitar, anywhere in the U.S. ( including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, as well as all military APO and FPO address's ) for FREE !!!...All you'll pay is 1% for full insurance coverage !!!... For international buyers, I'll also discount the S&H on ALL shipments to Canada and you'll pay just $69.99 (plus insurance)   All other international buyers, will be just $99.99 (plus insurance) for shipping anywhere else in the world !!!.      Here's a very rare and highly collectable vintage Fender Telecaster model electric guitar, that's been in a private collection, for several years.  The guitar was made in 1968 and the neck has a factory '68 stamp on the end of it.  As you can see, this is the highly sought after BLONDE Tele with the Rosewood fretboard,  that's so popular with many pro country, rock, and blues Tele players, as well as studio musicians.        Like any used, 40 year old instrument, this one is not perfect, but it's in great shape for being this old.  I'm not the original owner, and I am not an expert, so I can not possibly know all the details and history about this instrument.  As always, I will try to describe the guitar, the best I possibly can.       The factory Blonde finish is definately original and I believe it was Olympic White when it left the factory.  The paint stick outline is still in the neck pocket.  As you can see, it's naturally faded to a VERY COOL bar tan Blonde that I'll call a light Honey Blonde Color.  When you take the pic guard off, you can see the difference, where the smoke from bars, tinted the exposed finish, and the original Olympic White finish is still under the pick guard.  The guitar has not been in a bar, for several years, so it doesn't smell like smoke.  The body has some normal checking, and some dents and dings, that are mainly on the edge, and around the control panel.  There's some finish wear, on the top, near where your right elbow would be.  The back is as clean as the front, with no big scratches, dents or dings.  The finish on the body and the back of the neck has some natural checking, and there's some more checking on the neck, behind the nut,  from a guitar hanger.  As you can see in the pictures, there is a slight red tint, near the top edge.  This appears to be where some of the finish has rubbed off (possibly from a red cotton shirt) and lightly exposed some of the primer.  The body has been routed for a Humbucker pickup, but the route is under the guard, so you can't see it.  Otherwise, it's in great shape and very smooth.  The rosewood fretboard is also very smooth and in great shape.  Brand new frets were recently installed, so the frets are all in excellent condition.  There's some cosmetic water damage to the finish, on the front of the headstock.  Part of the the decal was touched up, with a black marker, where part of the black letters were missing.  The tuners appear to be original and they work great.  The control plate, 3 way switch, and pots all have cloth wiring, so they appear to be original, as well as the volume and tone knobs.  The bridge is a newer factory Fender reissue model with Pat Pend stamps on it and brass saddles.  At least one of the pickups has cloth wiring and the other has plastic coated wiring.  At least one of the pickups may, or may not be original.  The multi layer pickguard has aluminum shielding on the back, and it may, or may not be original.  This really is the perfect Tele, for any live stage performer or recording studio project etc.  I've had several Fender Tele's over the years including several very nice, high end Custom Shop Telecasters, but this one is without a doubt, the coolest of them all.  I'm reluctant to sell the guitar, but it's time for a new home.  A molded Fender hard shell case will be included as well as a brand new set of D'Addario strings.  The case is in excellent condition.  All of the hasps and hinges as well as the handle work fine and the case is very clean, inside and out.              If you're a player, songwriter, stage performer or collector, this guitar is for you.  It would look great on stage and anyone would be very proud to own this vintage Telecaster.  It will only go up in value, as well as compliment your collection.  The prices on vintage Fender Stratocaster Telecaster Gibson Les Paul Junior Jr and Martin D18 D21 D28 D35 and D45 guitars, have been going thru the roof lately.  High end vintage acoustic and electric guitars are a great investment and they're certainly better than money in the bank.            I send all international shipments by Air Mail and tracking numbers will be provided. Texas residents pay sales tax. Insurance will be required on all shipments and it will protect your investment.   However, I have never had a guitar get lost, damaged, or stolen in route.  When I ship your guitar, you will also receive a $20.00 credit that you can use towards your next guitar or amp purchase.     I ONLY accept U.S. Postal Money Orders or a Canadian Postal Money Order as payment.  No other Money Orders, Cashiers Checks or Personal Checks will be accepted.  I can also take a direct bank wire payment, from any buyer, and any bank in the world.   I do NOT take PayPal payments.       If you need to use a credit card, you may also be able to get a cash advance on your card, and then wire the funds as payment.  If you do not understand the payment options, that are stated in this ad, please feel free to contact me, BEFORE you bid, for more details.     Bank wire payments are very fast and also very secure, plus I can take them from all international, as well as domestic buyers.  As the winning bidder, you will also have all the contact info for my bank, which is Wells Fargo.  You can easily contact them, to verify my long term status there, so you'll be comfortable with the wire transfer.              Payment must be made within 3 days and I usually ship within 3 business days as well.  Everything I have on eBay is shipped out and personal pickup is not an option.      The winning bidder must email me with a shipping address etc. as soon as the auction ends. I appreciate your business, but if you do not agree with the flat rates for S&H, the payment methods required, or anything else in this ad, please do not bid.  To much time is wasted for both of us, if you don't follow thru with your purchase.  I make an honest effort to accurately described everything we sell, and I provide excellent pictures, of the exact item you're bidding on. If you buy something from me, it has been checked out, and will work properly.  eBay is an auction site, and a great place, to get some great deals, on used merchandise.  All sales are final, on all used items, and no returns will be accepted. I always have some rare and highly collectable guitar and amp auctions on eBay.  I add more several times a week.  You can bookmark me as a Favorite Seller by clicking on favorites list and be sure to click on AAAGuitarsAndAmps to see all my ads......Thank You and Good Luck !!!......706211**********************************************************************
