All professional instruments continued to be stamped Buffet, whereas the student models were stamped "Evette & Schaeffer". Instruments made between 1935-1980 are considered by many to be the best of Buffet's production. The reasons are many but principal amongst these are the quality of wood and hand craftsmanship.  The modern equivalent of the E & S is the E13, the "E" is short for Evette. The instrument has just been through the Clarinets Direct workshop and our warranty covers any leaking pads or faulty springs for 1 year from the date of sale. All pads have been replaced with double bladder fishskin pads and all tenon and touch corks replaced.  The keywork is German Silver and has been buffed up to a nice shine, there is no plating wear.  There are no cracks or damage to the wood of the main body of the instrument which is of exceptional quality and density. The matching serial nos. are B1715 which dates the clarinet to the early 1950's. All pieces are matching and stamped " Evette and Schaeffer". This clarinet was manufactured with exactly the same bore as the R13 Bb clarinet of the period. These instruments are highly sought after as this period of manufacture is considered the "Golden Era" of Buffet's production. This clarinet will not disappoint, it has an exceptional scale and even response.    The case is the Buffet pouchette black leather original in good shape for its age with minor tears to the interior and slight stains, it carries the slogan "The Sweetest Clarinet Ever Made".  The handle shows some wear.
