Description
Arp Odyssey modified with midi   Up for sale a classic Arp Odyssey analog synth. The synth is in good cosmetic condition, see pics. This synth has just been restored by Saint Eric, the Arp guru in Holland! Check his website here: http://www.sainteric.eu/ Work ive had done to this Odyssey includes: Power supply fully serviced and recapped. All sliders dismantled, cleaned and relubricated. They are all nice and smooth to use now. The keyboard assembly was also serviced, the buss bar was cleaned and polished, many J-wires replaced. It plays great.   An internal midi has been installed for convienence. It can be turned on and off via a switch on the back, see picture. Additionally 4 extra CV inputs have been added on the back, 1x for the filter, 1x for the VCA, one for Resonance and an extra cv2.  I also had many modifications done to the Arp to make it even *more* flexible sonically. Modifications included: Fast/ Normal/ Slow 3 way switch for LFO speed.  Fast/ Normal/ Slow 3 way switch for AD envelope. Fast/ Normal/ Slow 3 way switch for ADSR envelope. Switch for Inverted EG for filter. 2 way switch for mono / duphonic operation. Filter modified for wider dynamic range (fault in the original design rectified) Extra LFO circuitry installed, dedicated to the PPC controller, with switchable square and sine waveforms and speed/ rate knob (leaving the main LFO free for other modulation duties) Extra functionality in the mixer section. For example on a normal unmodified Odyssey, you normally have switches below the sliders in the "mixer" section. The switches allow you choose for example *either* a sawtooth or a square waveform for VCO 1 and VCO 2. Or a switch for selecting *either* noise or ring mod to the mixer. On this Odyssey, the switch has been replaced by a knob. This means that both functions of the switch are accessable at the same time. For example: Slider 1 sends noise to the "mixer", the pot underneath send ring mod to the mixer at the same time. Slider 2 sends Vco1 sawtooth waveform to the "mixer" and the pot underneath send Vco1 square wave to the the mixer allowing blending of waveforms at the same time for more interesting sounds Slider 3 same as slider 2 but for Vco2 and so on for all 7 pots in the mixer section, very flexible modification.. Extra waveshaper circuitry was added to both VCO's and the main LFO, adding triangle and Sine waveforms on a 3 way switch. (Underneath pots in the "mixer" section) The Odyssey was also fully calibrated and serviced. All work done by Saint Eric in Holland.. the ARP expert. Over 1000 Euros worth of modifications and restoration work done within last 3 months. This has to be one of the nicest Odyssey's on the used market! With the extra waveshapes, lfo, mods.. it takes this Odyssey into Arp 2600 territory, but also has some nice features that the 2600 does not have like a high pass filter and oscillator sync. This is a very flexible and awesome sounding synth! The Odyssey will be double boxed for shipping.   ***** PLEASE READ BELOW IMPORTANT INFORMATION *****   TERMS AND CONDITIONS: 1) NO bids from anyone with less than 5 feedback *UNLESS* you email me first and ask for permission to bid please, thank you. 2) I require buyer to contact me regarding payment methods before buying this item.
