Description
Offered for your consideration, a Fender Narrow Panel Deluxe amp, serial number D-01978, Jensen P12Q speaker with date code 220615. The amp has been professionally recapped to regain optimal tonal quality. The original two prong power cord has been replaced with a properly grounded three prong cord. A previous owner replaced the handle with a different style and there are some holes underneath the proper replacement handle currently installed. This is one of the best sounding of all the Fender Tweed amps. The tone is legendary. I've compared this amp to the Tweed Super, Tweed Pro, Tweed Tremolux and the Tweed Champ. It's loud enough to play small to medium size gigs and can be miced through the PA for larger engagements. Best of all, the amp is perfect for recording rendering a much broader tonal spectrum than a Champ or a Princeton. Fender started out making this amp in a narrow cabinet, similar to the Wide Panel Deluxe specs. Then they came out with a wide cabinet, like this one. The wide cabinet is considered the most desirable and is worth more than the other versions. Fender also offered a limited edition tall cabinet Deluxe very late in the production run. How often do you get the chance to have a piece of fine art in your home, that produces the finest Tweed tone available? Don't let this one slide by! In the Vintage Guitar Price Guide the value range for this amp is listed at $3,500 - $4,000. I do not accept PayPal. Postal Money Orders and Cashiers Checks work. As this is a piece of electronic equipment that is over 50 years old, no warranty is expressed or implied. The amp sounds fantastic and really looks beautiful. The price ebay calculates for shipping is inaccurate. Although I had to use a flat rate to cover this, the cost to the buyer will be actual cost to his/her address. Insurance will be required and will be included in the actual shipping costs. I will send the winnning bidder an invoice for the total cost after the close of the auction.
