Description
Offered for your consideration, a Fender V-Front Super amp, serial number 811 Jensen P10R speakers with date codes 220843 and 220933. Professionally recovered. Speakers have been reconed and the amp has been professionally recapped to regain optimal tonal quality. The original two prong power cord has been replaced with a brown, properly grounded three prong cord. The "death cap" has been removed from the circuit. In my opinion, this is the best sounding and by far and away the most beautiful of all the Fender Tweed amps. I've compared this amp to the Tweed Deluxe, Tweed Pro, Tweed Tremolux and the Tweed Champ. This is Fender's best Tweed. It's loud enough to play small to medium size gigs and can be miced through the PA for larger engagements. Best of all, the amp is perfect for recording. A Champ or a Deluxe get a lot of air play for this type of work, but the Super is far superior I think because of the dual 10 inch speakers that diversify the tonal source. Also, the preamp tubes used are readily available at about 10-15% of the cost of a decent Telefunken 12AX7 used in later Tweed models and I think they sound better anyway. How often do you get the chance to have a piece of fine art in your home, that produces the best Tweed tone available? Don't let this one slide by! In the Vintage Guitar Price Guide the value range for this amp is listed at $3,700 - $4,700. I do not accept PayPal. Postal Money Orders and Cashiers Checks work. As this is a piece of electronic equipment that is over 50 years old, no warranty is expressed or implied. The amp sounds fantastic and really looks beautiful. The price ebay calculates for shipping is inaccurate. Although I had to use a flat rate to cover this, the cost to the buyer will be actual cost to his/her address. Insurance will be required and will be included in the actual shipping costs.
